JOSIF SERGEY was born on September 5, 1977 in Minsk, Belarus. He graduated from the State Academy of MUSIC (BSAM) in Minsk, Belarus in 2000. He received a Bachelor’s degree of Art in 2001 and a Master’s degree of Art in 2004 in two specialties: a piano — soloist and a piano — accompanist after he had finished the post-graduate studies (aspirantura) of the special piano in the class of the People teacher of the Republic of Belarus, professor Ludmila Shelomentseva with honor (2001-2004).
JOSIF SERGEY has improved his performance skills abroad. He took master courses. He worked with such brilliant masters of the piano as Halina Czerny — Stefanska (Poland), Kevin Kenner (USA), Pawel Hencinsky (USA), Milosz Magin (France), Adam Harasewicz (Austria), Michail Voskresenski (Moscow, Russia).
He is the winner of five international competitions:
- International Piano Competition, Minsk, 1996 — 2nd prize;
- IBLA Grand Prize, Italy, 1998 — 2nd prize;
- Chopin International Piano Competition, Szafarnia, Poland, 1993 — 1st prize;
- Artur Rubinshtein International piano competition, Poland, 1993 — 3d prize;
- International piano competition Artur Rubinshtein 1998 — 1st prize.
He was a Fellow of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the support of the talented youth. He was a soloist of the Belarusian State Philharmonic (2000 — 2003). While working at the Philharmonic he was given the highest performing category. He worked as a teacher at the Department of the Accompaniment skill at the BSAM (2001 — 2004), later at the Department of the Special Piano (2004). In 2009-2010 he worked at the Dubai International Piano Academy (a piano professor). 2011-2012 at the Vienna Music Academy Jakarta, Indonesia (a piano professor). Since 2005 he has been giving his master courses in China, Xiamen, Nanchang. He participates in the competition as a judge in Italy, Poland and China. His student Jing Xia(China) became a 2-d prize laureate of the International piano competition in France (Brest).

In recent years he has become a piano professor of Several Music Academies in China: Zhenzhou, Luoyang, Guangzhou, Fujian, Xiamen, Yamaha Music Academy China and Vienna Music Academy Jakarta Indonesia. He is the personal guest of many piano advertising event. Iosif participate in many International piano education projects to help young musician and kids, who is passion at study piano to develop they creative thinking personality.
He also have his original author lectures on playing piano and he lectures around world. Iosif continues to improve his teaching and performing skills by giving solo recitals and master courses.
